Audio Gold Resistors from Ohmite
Ohmite now offers the Audio Gold Resistor Family, specifically designed for high-end loudspeaker and amplifier applications. Ohmite's Audio Gold resistors have been carefully engineered with non-magnetic materials to eliminate the effects of these stray magnetic fields on circuit performance, thereby resulting in simplified shielding requirements and improved sound quality. Audio Gold resistors are designed for use in cross-over networks and as source, emitter, or cathode resistors in balancing applications for output transducers.

Ohmite LVC Series
Ohmite expands their thick film product line to low ohm value chip resistors for current sensing applications. Provided in standard surface mount packages, the LVC Series is ideal for today's current sense applications requiring low profile, low cost solutions. Featuring 0.25 watt, 0.50 watt, and 1 watt power ratings these resistors are offered in E24 ohmic values from 0.05 ohm to 1 ohm in standard 5% tolerance (1% available on request). Case sizes have familiar 1206, 2010 and 2512 outlines with nickel barrier terminals to prevent silver migration. Low TCRs are provided down to +/-100 ppm, for an operating temperature range of -55 to 125 and are packed in 8mm tape on 7" reels. These resistors cover a variety of applications including cellular, telecom, computer, wireless, RF, and power supplies.

The SIP is available in the full range of resistance values from 0.25 ohm to 60K ohm. The resistors can be laser trimmed to 1% tolerance and resistor matching available to 1%.

Ohmite Introduces TAP600
The TAP600 Series combines thick film on alumina resistor technology with patented thermal materials to provide 600 watts of power in a small package. Compatible with todays heatsinks, these resistors are designed to specific customer specifications for use in variable speed drives, power supplies, robotics, motor control, and fault protection. Manufactured with patented resistance film, these resistors exhibit low inductance and stability in high power and pulse loading applications. Patented thermal compounds and an auto-calibrated mounting scheme that ensures proper contact pressure enable optimal heat conductivity to the heatsink. Resistance values range from 0.05 ohm to 100K ohm in 5% and 10% tolerance with dielectric strengths available up to 12KV. Easy to load connectors are provided for use with M4 or M5 screws and can be modified with sleeves to increase creepage distances up to 85mm.
